The Karlovy Vary European Cup is history. I showed up but didn’t perform. I had an OK swim, ate complete crap mounting my bike in T1 dragging my right knee and the tops of my feet on the pavement in the process and pulled out on the bike after repeatedly being dropped on the very surprisingly challenging course. I was flat. Like any race, I was going in expecting to have a fine result. Like any race, when you don’t it brings you down and makes you question everything. I’ve pulled out of the race in Lux next weekend in hopes of regrouping and preparing for the races ahead in September.
